  • FAQ:
Outback BaselineHD
Q. Are there subscription fees associated with the RTK service for the Outback BaselineHD? A: No, there are no subscription fees with the Outback BaselineHD.
Q. Does the Outback BaselineHD come with everything I would need to set up and run with RTK accuracy? A: The Outback BaselineHD operates with either the Outback S2, or Outback S3, along with the Outback eDrive. The Outback BaselineHD operates in accordance with the guidance system that has been installed on your implement. When the Outback BaselineHD is purchased, it includes one Rover antenna and everything that is need to make your already Outback equipped implement RTK ready.
Q. Can two implements utilize the same Outback BaselineHD at the same time? A: Yes, it is possible to operate with two Rovers off of one single Outback BaselineHD. However, when the Outback BaselineHD is purchased it only comes with the equipment setup for one implement. If you wish to use two implements at once, an extra Rover antenna must be purchased and your Radio Link ID must be set to the last digit of the serial number on the Outback BaselineHD.
Q. Why does my S2 refuse to communicate with the BaselineHD? A: Please allow at least 15 minutes for the units to communicate. Check the rover cable connections at the S2 and at the rover. Check the light on the rover to see if it is illuminated. Check the radio link ID and make sure it is the last digit of the SN of the BaselineHD. Verify the BaselineHD is at least 160 feet away from any object 14 feet high or greater in any direction.
Q. How do I maximize the repeatability of the Outback BaselineHD? A: When looking for repeatability, it is important to place the base station in the exact location previously used in that field. It is important to mark the location of the base station with a permanent marker so maximum repeatability can be achieved.
Q. Will my Outback BaselineHD function properly with my business radio also located on the roof of my cab? A: Yes, the Outback BaselineHD can still operate with a business radio on the roof of the cab. However, the business radio antenna must be farther than 3 feet away from the Rover radio in order for the BaselineHD to work properly.
